A combination of rest and movement and involves flowing from one yoga pose to the next using your breath
A restful practice that involves slowing down and opening up your body through both passive movement and stretching
A slower style of yoga that involves holding a series of poses for longer periods of time, a focus on deep stretching and meditation
I started practicing yoga during university as a way to de-stress from studying and exams.
I was a university student in pharmacy school when I first started doing yoga but didn't start practicing regularly until after graduation and now it's become a part of my daily/weekly routine.
Becoming a certified yoga teacher is something I had wanted to do for a long time and it was during the pandemic I decided to finally go for it. I received my 200 hour yoga teacher certification through Swadhyaya Yoga School in 2021 and it was the most rewarding thing I did for myself.
I loved the way yoga made me feel physically, mentally and spiritually and my hope is that I can help you experience all of the positive benefits in your life as well!
Your core is the foundation of almost all forms of movement and is a key component in yoga. Strengthening your core muscles can help you stay in proper alignment, stabilize your body, improve your posture and so much more!
Restorative or yin yoga is a slower type of yoga that involves lots of stretching and can release tension in the muscles.
A regular yoga practice can be a form of selfcare and a way to give yourself some extra TLC. Life can be busy and we all lead different lives but making some time for you can have positive benefits on your mental health and overall wellbeing.
yoga is selfcare
you do not need to be super flexible as your flexibility can improve with practice.
Yoga poses can be held for as long as you feel comfortable and remember to always listen to your body.
Yoga is for all bodies, genders, and experience levels and you do not have to look a certain way to have a fulfulling practice.
remember you can do anything you set your mind to and feel confident in yourself.
each of our bodies are unique and beautiful and worthy of self love and selfcare.

Student Feedback:
“Steph is so warm and kind and truly welcomes people from all levels of experience. As someone who has not participated in yoga in a long time, it felt like such a safe space to relearn and modifications for poses were always provided and encouraged if you needed them.”
